At Magourou there are two charming traditional Breton granite cottages available for letting (see also 2 bedroom Spring cottage). Both cottages, with courtyard settings, are located in a 50 acre private estate and also have direct frontage onto the Canal de Nantes à Brest.
Magourou is situated just 3km from the market town of Rostrenen which is known as the crossroads of Brittany, due to its central position.
Interior and exterior
The cottage has recently been sympathetically restored and furnished to a high standard.
Set on separate sides of a large, secluded courtyard the gite has use of its own private garden.
Living area: The accommodation comprises a large salle de sejour (living area) downstairs. The lounge area has an inglenook fireplace with woodburner for those cosy winter evenings. Exposed original chestnut beams throughout. English TV.
Bedrooms: There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. Each with exposed beams and stone gable wall to give your holiday that traditional cottage feel.
Bathrooms: Upstairs there is a modern salle de bain with shower, toilet and handbasin. You will also have the use of a separate bloc sanitaire with additional shower, toilet and washing facilities plus washing machine, tumble drier and freezer.
Kitchen and dining: The kitchen has all the usual modern facilities including electric cooker and microwave. The large dining table is hand made from oak harvested on the estate.
Garden: Private garden with BBQ and garden furniture. Large covered hangar (covered area) accessible from the back door for relaxing in the shade, parking, etc.
Other: You will also have freedom to wander throughout the estate. Explore the nature trails. Picnic tables provided to enjoy the atmosphere. Relax and unwind in unspoilt countryside. Roam down the track to the fields, through the oak glade and then return along the canal to your own cottage.
Broadband Internet access installed in cottage through WiFi.
Electricity and water included. Logs available at a nominal charge.
Electric heaters fitted throughout.
Loan of bicycles included (adult only). Welcome meal available on request. Packed lunches available for ramblers and cyclists.
Cleaning/towels/linen: Towels and bed linen included. Cleaning at end of stay included.

Magourou is situated in the heart of central Brittany which forms an ideal touring base to discover one of France's most distinctive and attractive regions. The north, west and south coasts are all within an hour's drive from your holiday accommodation.

Conditions and additional information
Deposit: A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking.
Balance of Payment: The balance of payment will be due eight weeks prior to your arrival. Non payment by the due date will be treated as a cancellation. Reservations made within 8 weeks of the start of the rental period require full payment at the time of booking.
Cancellation: The initial deposit paid at the time of booking is non-refundable. Cancellation within eight weeks = loss of whole fee.
Security Deposit: A security deposit of £75 is required at the time of booking against any damage/breakages or a need for excessive cleaning found after the holiday. The owner will account to the client for the security deposit and refund the amount, or any balance due, within two weeks after the end of the rental period. This sum shall not limit the clients liability to the owner.
